I’m sure i wont be the first to mention this, unless u’ve been alseep or on a continous Halo matchmaking session…

But Gears of War 2 finally hit the shelves last Friday 7th Nov. I’m never one to rush out n buy games on their release date, but mainly because the first week they crank the price up like GTA IV at £50! ouch.

However Gears seems to have been released slightly cheaper, i was well suprised that Blockbuster have it at £35! and Game at only a few quid more.

I still have a £25 voucher that i got for a certain retailer as compensation for being verbally abused by the manager. Well worth a letter, so i’ll now be cashing it in against a copy of gears the next time im in town.

Worth noting, if you find staff unreasonable, arguementative or just rude it’s often not worth takin it any further as all you’ll get is more arguements. I was sold a PS3 warranty with my Xbox 360 (instead of the xbox warranty) a trade-in promotion that wasn’t honoured and a rude manager who wouldn’t listen.

But a quick letter to Head Office with a copy of my receipt, and i got a written apology and a £25 gift voucher. You dont have to get angry at them even, i just wrote down my experience, and asked if this is how they work as a company.

Better than gettin angry.

Of course only do this if it actually happened, otherwise it’s fraud, and I’m sure they dont hand these things out without checkin first.
