It may have been obvious to the rest of you, but i only just found this out! maybe it’s always been there?

Anyway.. hidden away in one of the menu screens there’s an option to turn on background downloads, this means you can rack up loads of demo’s, videos, and DLC content into a queue and turn your Xbox off!

It’ll power down, but the power light keeps glowing, and your downloads keep downloading too, until the queue is clear, then the xbox will completely power itself down.

To find this hidden menu, hit your xbox guide button (the big silver one in the middle) to bring up the blades, go to the blade on the right called ‘Settings’ then select ‘System Settings’ from the list, then ‘Console Settings’ then select ‘Shutdown’ and then finally select ‘Background Downloads”.

Here you can enable downloads to happen after you power down the xbox!
